Bubba makes cute faces when he knows he’s being photographed. ;)
Our first show, Donida farms.

She is, thankfully, fine. No rabies, nothing broken, just a really nasty bite on her back, is what I’m told.
Poor girl! She is SUCH a trooper, though.
Do you remember that ‘lil POA I posted a while back?
Well he has officially failed his trail period, barely 2 weeks in.
He literally knocked over and then trampled my trainer’s 6 year old daughter. She was in his paddock with me while I was cleaning it… Usually she stays right next to me, like she’s supposed to.
Anyways, she went up to Jack to pat him and when she turned around to come back to me, he literally GRABBED HER WITH HIS TEETH by her back, which broke the skin, and then nudged her tumbling forward onto her face and then he walked all over her.
He was provoked by nothing other than her can of soda in her hand. I guess he REALLY wanted it. Something is seriously wrong with how he was brought up, because that is 100% unacceptable. He is leaving within the day or two, I am sure.
Emma is a little worse for the wear, but I know that nothing is broken… Kandis is worried about whether or not he’d had his rabies shot, and I’m sure E will be quite shaken by this for a while. I’m just glad this pony didn’t do this to a student.
And I can’t get the image of turning around to see Emma underneath Jack as he was walking around. I almost ran, I came close to it before my equine-crisis instincts kicked in. I scooped her in my arms and grabbed Mariana who was also in with us, covered their heads, and got them the hell outta there.
Absolutely floored, nothing like this has EVER happened, not to me, or to Kandis, it’s just crazy.
I think it’d be really cool if there were a program or something where you could go ride alongside a mounted police officer for a day and learn the ins and outs!
